After their intimate wedding celebrations are over, Aamir Khan and his new wife Gauri Spratt have reportedly flown to Melbourne. The actor, who headed there for professional commitments, is said to be turning the business trip into a fun family vacation.

Aamir Khan and Gauri Sprat For honeymoon in Australia

According to Deccan Chronicle reports, Aamir and Gauri are traveling with their sons. Aamir, who shares Azad with ex-wife Kiran Rao, will also be joined by Gauri’s son, Quinn, on the trip. Besides taking care of his work commitments, the actor is said to be doubling the trip as a post-wedding getaway and a chance for the boys to spend some time together and also allow Aamir to spend quality time with Quinn.The Melbourne visit comes less than a week after Aamir and Gauri tied the knot in an intimate ceremony recorded at the actor’s residence in Bandra on July 5.

Only a few close friends, family members and their children attended the private wedding.

Aamir Khan to attend Indian Film Festival in Melbourne

After the holiday, Aamir is expected to attend the 2026 Indian Film Festival in Melbourne, where he received a Best Actor nomination for his performance in Sitaare Zameen Par. The festival recently revealed its nominations, with Aamir vying for the Best Actor (Male) award, alongside Ahan Pandey, Bhuman Bhargav Das, Dulquer Salmaan, Mammootty, Ranveer Singh, Rishabh Shetty and Sanjay Mishra.

The Best Performance (Women) category includes Anit Padda, Kalyani Priyadarshan, Kirti Kulhari, Neena Gupta, Rajshree Deshpande, Rani Mukerji, Rituparna Sengupta and Yami Gautam Dhar.

About the Melbourne Indian Film Festival

The festival, which will take place from 13 to 23 August 2026, will select the winners with the assistance of a jury made up of members of the Australian film industry and cultural sector. Along with the awards ceremony, this year’s festival will also include film premieres, special screenings, panel discussions, masterclasses and industry events.
