'Alpha' Box Office Collection Day 5: Alia Bhatt and Sharvari's spy thriller registers good growth on Tuesday, crosses Rs 70 crore worldwide

‘Alpha’, starring Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the lead roles, set the pace at the box office and saw good growth in numbers on Tuesday. The film, which completed its fifth day in cinemas, benefited from strategic ticket prices across major cinema chains.The film, which also marks the first female-led spy action film in the YRF Spy Universe, saw a daily increase in collections on Tuesday. According to Sacnilk’s early estimates, ‘Alpha’ has earned an estimated Rs 4.25 crore nett. With this, the film registered an increase of 10.4% from the net collection of Rs 3.85 crore on Monday. According to the report, the film also grossed an estimated revenue of Rs 4.89 crore domestically across 7,173 shows.The film opened with a net collection of Rs 9.25 crore in India on Friday before seeing healthy growth in the weekend. Its collections rose to Rs 11.50 crore nett on Saturday, while Sunday emerged as the film’s biggest day at the domestic box office, with an estimated collection of Rs 15.90 crore overall in India.With its recent earnings, the film has taken its gross collection in India to an estimated Rs 50.23 crore, while its net collection in India stands at Rs 42.10 crore.

The film also maintained its momentum at the overseas box office and as per the report, the film collected an estimated Rs 1.50 crore on its fifth day. This took the total external output to Rs 19.80 lakh crore. This, coupled with the film’s domestic collection, has now taken the film to Rs 70.03 worldwide.Sacnilk also reported that film saw good growth on Tuesday, coinciding with discounted ticket prices at cinema chains.

This film is said to have not only helped boost occupancy, a move expected to increase occupancy, but has also increased footfall, especially among families and younger audiences. While most other films face a weekday slump, Alpha, thanks to its strategic ticket pricing, helped the film maintain a stable box office chart.Alpha will now look to maintain its momentum throughout the remainder of the week. It remains to be seen if the film will be able to cross the Rs 100 crore mark by the end of the first week. The film has one more undisputed weekend at the box office before it can take on newer releases, including Christopher Nolan’s “The Odyssey,” which is scheduled to release in India next week.Set within the YRF Spy Universe, Alpha features Alia Bhatt and Sharvari in the lead, along with Bobby Deol, Anil Kapoor and Hrithik Roshan. The film is already on its way to becoming one of Alia’s highest-grossing films to date.
