The $88 million mansion that Jennifer Lopez once surrounded with “admiration and intent” is finally headed to a new owner. The upscale Holmby Hills estate located at 10250 W. Sunset Blvd. , once home to the late fashion designer Max Azria, has entered a decade after more than a decade of spotty listings, Gimme Shelter has learned, according to the New York Post.
The deal has not yet closed, and the final price remains under wraps, but brokers say potential buyers can no longer tour the property, a sign that the sale is moving forward. The property’s last asking price was $43.5 million, a sharp decline from its original value of $88 million in 2016.

Estate Azria, formerly known as Maison du Soleil, is known for its privacy. Despite its reputation for privacy, the 2.8-acre complex was built for hosting, not hiding. The property has a Georgian Colonial main house built by star architect Paul Williams in 1939.
The large foyer opens to rooms lined with parquet floors, white panels, columns and moldings, with French doors leading to the terraces and gardens.

Outside, the grounds feature an infinity pool, a glass-enclosed tennis court with court seating, a Japanese garden, a café, Mediterranean gardens, a working greenhouse, and a Moroccan-inspired hammam built around an authentic hammam. There is a formal French courtyard around the grounds.

The detached 6,000-square-foot building includes a home theater, lounge and office with a gold leaf ceiling. The master suite on the upper level of the main house has a marble fireplace, seating area, and multiple walk-in closets.

Architect Paul Williams, the first black member of the American Institute of Architects, built the main house in 1939 for Charles Correll, star of the movie “Amos ‘n’ Andy,” for $70,000.
This 12,000-square-foot colonial home was his most famous work. His wealthy clients included Lucille Ball and Desi Arnaz, Frank Sinatra, Tyrone Power, and Barbara Stanwyck, along with his famous renovation of the Beverly Hills Hotel.In 1978, novelist and screenwriter Sidney Sheldon, creator of “I Dream of Jeannie,” “Hart to Hart” and “The Patty Duke Show,” bought the property and doubled its size before selling it to Max and Lubov Azria in 2005 for $14.4 million.
Later, in 2015, he and Lobov listed the Sunset property for $85 million. A year later, the price had risen to $88 million. Azria died in 2019. The price continued to decline after that, falling to $55 million by 2023 and $39 million last year, before falling to a final asking price of $43.5 million.Billionaire Ron Burkle made a winning bid of $30 million at a Concierge Auctions auction for the property two years ago. But the terms ended up being disputed in court, and the deal fell apart before it could close.The brokers listed are Mauricio Umansky and Farah Levy of The Agency.
