Sanjay Khan and Zareen Khan’s daughter Farah Khan Ali, a famous jewelery designer, was rumored to have dated Bobby Deol while growing up. In a recent interview, Farah responded to these rumours.
She was also asked if her relationship with Neelam was spoiled because she came into Bobby’s life.
Farrah said, frankly, that she and Bobby were just childhood sweethearts, and she’s very happy that he’s now married to Tanya.In an interview with Vicky Lalwani, she said, “We were childhood sweethearts. I had a huge crush on him. He had a huge crush on me. And that’s it. I mean, nothing. We held hands and wrote letters to each other.”
That’s it. No dating? No, I mean, those days when we…it’s not like today. I was 16, and Bobby was 17. That was about 40 years ago, and life was very different. Today it’s not the same as when you’re 16, 17 years old.Farrah also revealed that despite their brief teenage romance, she and Bobby have remained very close over the years. She also shares a strong bond with his wife Tanya Deol. “Today he is probably one of my closest friends, as is Tanya, his wife, whom I adore from the bottom of my heart.”
When she was reminded that Bobby and Tanya attended the launch of her jewelry store, Farah said their relationship had grown beyond the past.“They are family to me, and there is nothing I wouldn’t do for both of them. I’m so happy they found each other because they are perfect for each other.”Farah also denied the long-standing speculation that she has distanced herself from Bobby because of actress Neelam Kothari. She insisted that there was no misunderstanding between them, adding that Neelam had always been a close friend.
She explained, “This is not true at all. Neelam is my best friend. She came into Bobby’s life after me and Bobby. So, it’s not like she broke up with us. So, I won’t agree to that. We are very close. We had the most amazing childhood memories and we still keep in touch. Honestly, I am saying this because I am the most outspoken person and I have never done anything in my life that I will regret.”
