It has already been a year since Namit Malhotra dropped the big announcement of Nitish Tiwari’s ambitious epic, ‘Ramayana’, and fans have already taken to social media to celebrate.Amid the buzz around the launch of a new trailer slated to release this month, netizens took to the initiative to share their appreciation and excitement for the upcoming film starring Ranbir Kapoor, Yash and Sai Pallavi in the lead roles.

Ramayana trailer coming in July?
The makers of ‘Ramayana’ are reportedly planning a global rollout of the film’s elaborate promotional campaign, with multiple reports suggesting that the first official trailer will be unveiled at a major event in Los Angeles on July 14.The launch event will reportedly mark the first major screening of the mythological saga and is expected to be attended by lead stars Ranbir Kapoor, Sai Pallavi and Yash, along with other members of the cast and crew. The trailer is reportedly scheduled to premiere around three months before the film hits the big screens on Diwali.If this news is true, the trailer will arrive after the makers dropped ‘Rama First Glimpse’ early this year.
It was previously reported that the makers intend to release ‘First Glimpse’ clips to introduce the global audience to the characters of the saga arriving for the Diwali festive season.
“Ramayana” at Comic-Con?
While the team has not officially confirmed the event, the reports come amid growing speculation that the “Ramayana” film could also debut at the 2026 San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC), scheduled to be held this month. According to an earlier report by Mid-day, producer Malhotra and director Tiwari were in advanced discussions to premiere the full trailer of ‘Ramayana: Part 1’ during the festival, which was also the stage for global titles like ‘Avengers’, ‘Spider-Man’, ‘Lord of the Rings’ and more.
This year’s SDCC is scheduled to take place from July 23 to July 26, with a preview night on July 22.Meanwhile, Malhotra has been hosting special screenings of exclusive film stills for content creators in India over the past few weeks. These stills reportedly gave them glimpses of Ranbir Kapoor as Lord Ram, Sai Pallavi as Sita, Yash as Ravana, and Ravi Dubey as Lakshman.The two-part epic is being mass-produced and is scheduled to hit theaters globally starting with “Ramayana: Part 1” on Diwali 2026 and “Ramayana: Part 2” on Diwali 2027.
