Sahil broke his silence on the issue, saying that he never told his parents about his sister’s relationship because she told him that she wanted to marry Ketan.
“Siya told me that she wants to spend her life with Ketan and does not want anything to do with Chetan. She assured me that there was nothing between them. She swore on her life that she would only marry Ketan and would not have any contact with Chetan. So, I did not tell anyone about Siya and Chetan,” Sahil said in an interview with NewsDotz.
Sahil claimed that Sia was happy and preparing for her wedding with Ketan.
“She spent hours planning the pre-wedding photo shoot with Ketan. She chose her favorite songs and shooting locations. She was discussing all this with Ketan for hours over video calls,” he said.
He added that Sia was confused about her relationship with Chetan.
He added, “She told me that they were friends and that she enjoyed his company. She was confused about the nature of the relationship. I tried to explain to her that people sometimes confuse friendship with love, but that’s okay. It happens at a young age. I didn’t tell anyone about it, because she wasn’t sure of herself. She told me that she wanted to move forward with Ketan.”
Sahil Goyal under the scanner?
According to sources quoted by NDTV, Sahil Goyal is now undergoing police examination for his alleged role in the crime Killing of Ketan Agarwal.
The report added that the police are investigating whether Sahil had prior knowledge of Sia and Chetan’s relationship and deliberately concealed it from the family.
The police investigation contradicts the brother’s statement
Police officials said the investigation revealed that Sia did not want to marry Ketan and told Sahil about it. It is also suspected that he knew about Sia and Chetan’s relationship but allegedly chose to remain silent.
This completely contradicts what Sohail claimed in his interview.
The driver who drove Sia to the airport for the pre-wedding shoot also testified that when Sia refused to go, it was Sahil who forced her into the car. Moreover, Sahil’s silence and inaction after Ketan’s passport was shredded before the Bali trip also raised suspicions.
Although he has not been formally charged yet, police interrogated Sahil for over 10 hours on Monday, and his statement was recorded. Siya and Chetan are in police custody and have confessed to committing the crime.
