It’s a rite of passage at San Diego Comic-Con. Explore the massive footprint and almost maze-like sideways of the Funko Book at the San Diego Convention Center.
The pop culture company is one of the must-see destinations at the convention center, thanks in part to its extensive collection of convention-only exclusives that fans and collectors voraciously devour.
This year will be no exception. Except this year might be exceptional for the first time since he became a sensation in the publishing world, DC’s absolute Superheroes are getting the Funko treatment…as SDCC exclusives.
Funko will be offering Batman, Absolute Superman, and Absolute Wonder Woman launches as part of Comic Con exclusives. And Funko is determined to keep it rare. Only 1,000 figurines are on display, each priced at $40. Vinyl figures measure 4.1 inches (10.4 cm) tall. To further excite fans, Funko has a special chase edition of each figure that some lucky collector might find.
This exclusive figure comes pre-packaged in premium UV plastic! Protector and will have a Summer 2026 Convention sticker on the box. To prevent counterfeits, the collectible set will feature the company’s new authentication packaging through its partnership with Octane5 and the use of micro-optical technology.
The DC Ultimate line launches in 2024, starting in The ultimate Batman And truly reimagined DC heroes for the modern era. the next Absolute Wonderland Wmman and Absolute Superman, DC published absolute flash, absolute green lantern, and Absolute Martian Manhunter. The line proved particularly popular and was a huge success, with many titles selling in six figures. Furthermore, the industry and critics celebrated the comics, with the titles garnering eight Eisner Award nominations and two wins last year.
Two years later, the streak is still going strong. In reality, The ultimate BatmanAmazon sales, instead of trending downward, have defied gravity and increased. This year, the line’s titles received 13 Eisner nominations. (Eisners are given out annually at Comic Con.) There’s also the halo effect of comics that creates star artists and helps DC beat Marvel in market share for the first time in decades.
