‘Balan: The Boy’ Box Office Collections on Day 3: Chidambaram’s Thriller Jumps 27.7 Percent; Sunday collections touch Rs 3 Cr
Chidambaram’s thriller ‘Balan: The Boy’ continued its steady run at the box office on its first Sunday. The film witnessed healthy growth on the third day and registered its best single-day collection since its release. According to Sacnilk, the thriller grossed Rs 3.00 crore net on Sunday, registering a 27.7 percent jump over its second day collection of Rs 2.35 crore.
Net collection in India stands at Rs 7.17 lakh crore
‘Balan: The Boy’ has now generated a net revenue of Rs 7.17 crore at the Indian box office. The film’s total collection in India stands at Rs 8.31 crore after three days in theatres.The thriller opened with a net collection of Rs 1.82 crore on first Friday. Collections increased to Rs 2.35 lakh crore on Saturday before rising further to Rs 3.00 lakh crore on Sunday.The film recorded an occupancy rate of 28.7 percent on the first day. This percentage improved to 38.3 percent on the second day and increased to 45.1 percent on the third day.
The Malayalam version is leading the collections
Of the net collection of Rs 3.00 lakh crore recorded on Sunday, the Malayalam version stands at Rs 2.90 lakh crore. The language version also recorded an impressive occupancy rate of 52 percent across 1,002 shows.The Tamil version got Rs 5 lakh while the Telugu version added Rs 4 lakh.
The Hindi version contributed Rs 1 lakh.The total Malayalam occupancy was 54.05 percent on the third day. The morning shows recorded an occupancy rate of 29.25 percent. Afternoon screenings rose to 60.08 percent. The evening shows witnessed the highest turnout, reaching 64.42 percent. Night shows also remained steady, with an occupancy rate of 52.75 percent.On the third day, Kerala generated a total of Rs 2.65 lakh crore. It is followed by Karnataka with Rs 35 lakh. Tamil Nadu contributed Rs 23 lakh while Andhra Pradesh and Telangana added Rs 10 lakh.
