When ‘Aashiqui’ star Rahul Roy suffered a stroke during the shoot, he faced a medical crisis along with staggering financial pressures. Everyone knows about the actor’s recovery, but what many people did not know is that during this crisis, ‘Bajrangi Bhaijaan’ star Salman Khan provided financial support to Rahul Roy. In a heartwarming gesture that only came to light years later when the actor himself revealed the truth, Salman quietly cleared all of Rahul’s pending hospital bills.
When Rahul Roy revealed that Salman Khan paid his medical bills
Rahul Roy suffered a stroke on November 29, 2020, while shooting for one of his projects “LAC – Live the Battle” in Kargil. What followed was a battle for him. However, Salman Khan stepped in and made things much easier.In an old interview with Bollywood Hungama, Roy revealed that one of the reasons he recovered without much stress was because of Salman Khan. Years later, the actor revealed that his medical bills, which had accumulated after he suffered a stroke, had been paid in full and cleared by the “Kick” actor.Describing Salman as a “gem” of a person, he added, “Sab kehte hain Salman ye hai, woh hai… mere lee woh buhat aache hain (People say this and that about Salman Khan… but for me, he is a gem of a person).” He also shared that the two have known each other for a long time and “We worked together in Microscope (1996). We have good memories together.”

In the same interview, Roy’s sister Hari Ma (formerly Priyanka Roy) also spoke about Khan’s actions, adding: “The best thing is that Salman did not talk about it in front of the media.
This touched my heart. This guy is a gem. Someone comes out of the whole crowd and actually asks you if you’re really having a problem and helps you out. This is called being a star. Not to be just a star in front of the camera.They both shared that part of the bill was settled by the ‘LAC’ director, however, there were a lot of pending bills which Salman Khan left without any hesitation or any reward in return.Rahul Roy was treated for his stroke at Wockhardt Hospital, where an angiogram was performed. He was later shifted to the intensive care ward of Nanavati Hospital to recover.
