Tay Keith, the Grammy-nominated producer behind hits like Travis Scott’s “Sicko Mode,” has died. He was 29 years old.

The Metropolitan Nashville Police Department confirmed that Keith, whose real name was Brittavious Chambers, died on Thursday. The cause of death was not revealed, although the police said in their statement that “no foul play is suspected.”

“No foul play is suspected in the death of Brittavious Chambers, 29, also known as Grammy-nominated record producer Tay Keith. He was found dead in a Martin St apartment this afternoon by officers conducting a welfare check. His death is unclassified pending autopsy results,” the full statement read.

Keith has been a frequent collaborator with Scott and Drake, and has received two Grammy Award nominations for his work with the rappers. His first nod came from 2018’s “Sicko Mode,” which appeared on Scott’s Grammy-nominated EP. astronomer; His second EP originated from 21 Savage and Drake’s “Rich Flex”. Both songs received nominations for Best Rap Song.

The producer has also worked on a number of other hit songs, including Drake’s “Nonstop,” Sexy Red’s “Poundtown,” and Miley Cyrus’ “Mother’s Daughter,” among others. He has additional production credits with the likes of Beyoncé, Eminem, Lil Baby, Gunna, Metro Boomin, DJ Khaled, Cardi B and Kanye West.

Born and raised in Memphis, Tennessee, Keith began his music career as a teenager by creating and sharing music on YouTube and Datpiff. He met rapper BlocBoy JB at the age of 14, when the two began collaborating on music.

His most recent production credits include Jack Harlow’s 2025 hit “Just Us” featuring Doja Cat; Scott’s single “4 x 4”; and “Broke His Heart” from Megan Thee Stallion’s 2024 album Megan.
