ExtraEmily responded to criticism from online users after a clip of her autobiography went viral, arguing that many people judging her behavior were ignoring her academic and professional achievements.
The Twitch streamer addressed the backlash during a live stream on June 16, saying she was surprised that a video about her bio received positive attention while still attracting comments from people who called her a “little kid.”

Speaking via live broadcast, ExtraEmily said she expected criticism but was surprised by the amount of discussion her CV sparked online. “Finally, I had a good thread on Twitter about me, where I was showing my resume.
Oh my god guys. But half the comments say: “I’m still acting like a little kid.” Yeah, but I’m like, “I’m more accomplished than you are…” Sorry, but I was like, wait, I’m surprised this clip of my resume actually got likes.
“While some users continued to criticize her active online persona, many others focused on her qualifications and work history. Several comments on X praised her accomplishments.
“Yes I can’t hate this, I know people don’t like it, but it was done before you loved farming,” @iamghostdesigns wrote. “Really, real resume. She’s a smart person,” @JohnBummit added.Another user, @PurrTaco, commented: “She’s actually very smart and pretends to be…” and @Benjamintheo66 wrote: “OMG she’s actually a goat, she won’t hate anymore.”

During the broadcast, ExtraEmily introduced viewers to parts of her biography and highlighted her educational background.
She attended Columbia University where she graduated with a 3.94 GPA. She has also received honors including Magna Cum Laude, the Distinguished Student Service Award, and membership in Tau Beta Pi.“Education: Columbia University in New York City. GPA: 3.94 out of 4.0. Honors: Magna Cum Laude, Distinguished Student Service Award, Tau Beta Pi… I was president of my organization,” she said. She also spoke about her previous jobs, including positions at Citigroup and Columbia University.“Citigroup… security services vulnerability assessment analyst. Summer site research analytics analyst. I worked in business school as a database administrator at the Paul Milstein Center for Real Estate. Then I was a research analyst here,” she explained. When discussing the skills section of her resume, ExtraEmily joked about her artistic abilities.“And then my skills: Mandarin! (Laughs) Java? (Laughs) I can’t program for… Python? R? I don’t even know what R is!” The discussion comes just months after ExtraEmily pulled from broadcasting in April 2026 following online allegations that it used the show’s programming to inflate its audience numbers.
