Amazon MGM Studios has decided to make the decision.

The company has picked up Shots! Shots! Shots!a Jason Momoa action comedy previously at Universal.

Momoa is in talks to star in the landmark project, which is being produced by Jonathan Ehrich of Rideback, the banner behind the $1 billion-grossing live-action film. Lilo and Stitch remake. Momoa will also join the production team alongside Jeff Ferson.

Original specs from writers Matt Mider and Kevin Burrows, the project arrived at Universal in 2022. But shifting budget priorities led Universal to rethink the project and opt to put it in turnaround. Amazon MGM was more than happy to snap it up, having seen what a successful Momoa comedy looks like.
