Netflix and iHeartMedia expand podcast deal with Martha Stewart, Kate Hudson and more

Podcasts from Martha Stewart, Kate Hudson, and Lily Pons will soon be streaming on Netflix.

As part of the deal with iHeartMedia, Netflix will stream the new podcast Suite 305 with Lily Pons, Martha Stewart podcast and Sisterhood Celebrations with Kate Hudson and Oliver Hudson It will start rolling out to Netflix in the coming months. As with the other deals, iHeartMedia retains all audio and distribution rights only to the shows included in the deal, while Netflix holds exclusive video rights to the podcast.

This adds to the current lineup of more than a dozen iHeartMedia shows on Netflix, including The Breakfast Club, presents Bobby Bones: Poopcast, my favorite murder and Dear Chelsea.

In addition to these podcasts, Netflix and iHeartMedia recently launched the podcast version of Charlamagne Tha God’s Breakfast Club As a live video show broadcast simultaneously every day of the week.

Netflix has been building out its podcast roster in recent months, through a deal with iHeartMedia, as well as similar deals with Spotify and Barstool Sports. The streamer has also launched its own original podcasts, including The Pete Davidson Show. Netflix’s goal appears to be to move away from the daytime entertainment space, where podcasting is seen as the new daytime talk show, as well as compete with YouTube’s dominance in the space.
