The 60th Karlovy Vary International Film Festival (KVIFF) has unveiled its heritage and retrospective programme.

From the past – blind 60/80 It will celebrate the 60th edition and 80th anniversary of the festival by presenting “pivotal films” from KVIFF’s history. The Specials – Classics section will contain a special program dedicated to the history of cinema.

Recent highlights include the film’s international premiere Stuart Kornfield was hangedphoto of visionary independent producer Stuart Kornfield (Elephant man,
Kafka, The fly), and Chinese bookmaker killedKarlovy Vary’s latest rendition of a film directed by John Cassavetes.

Meanwhile, KVIFF will be displayed Discover trains and Sexy beast In the program “Out of the Past”.

Last year, a KVIFF retrospective paid tribute to Hollywood star and method acting pioneer John Garfield (The postman always rings twice), who made a name for himself playing working-class characters in the 1940s.

KVIFF 2026 takes place from July 3 to 11.
