While the actress initially avoided answering the question directly, she eventually opened up about what she believes is the real reason behind it, linking it to his latest film ‘Dhurandhar’.

During an interview with News18, Kangana Ranaut was asked why Ranveer Singh “suddenly became a target” in the industry. She replied, “Yeh aap unsey puchiye na, mujhe kya pata (You should ask him that. How should I know)?”When the host pointed out that Kangana herself has faced similar targeting in the past and asked for her opinions on the actor, she chose to provide more details.The actress said, “Me yehi kehna chahti hu…ke, ek toh Industry joh hai…You know a little…inme hai thoda Pakistan Prem hai. What, to sympathize with or admire Pakistan, and this is what they have been doing for years.

When the host mentioned that Ranveer Singh’s film ‘Dhurandhar’ was released recently, Kangana agreed and explained her point further.She said: “Haan, wohi toh…jab ek aisi film aati hai, jo hume Pakistan ka asli chehra dikhati hai… toh inko fir dard hota hai ki humne jo aajtak kiya uska kya value (Yes, exactly. That is the point. When a film comes along that shows the real face of Pakistan, some people feel uncomfortable.

“They’re starting to wonder what value there is in everything they’ve been doing and promoting all these years.”
