Watch: Arjun Tendulkar shines with bat and ball, receiving huge applause from captain Shivam Dubey in the dressing room

New Delhi: Arjun Tendulkar put in a brilliant performance in the 2026 Mumbai T20 League, and the appreciation he received from captain Shivam Dubey afterwards showed how important an all-round effort was. After making just one appearance for Lucknow Super Giants during IPL 2026, the son of legendary Sachin Tendulkar emerged as a star for Arcs Andheri on Monday, inspiring a solid nine-wicket win over Bandra Blasters at the Wankhede Stadium.

A video from the team’s dressing room later captured a poignant moment as captain Diop paid special praise to his players. It started with Arjun, whose emotional reactions and expressions reflected the importance of this appreciation.

Arjun dominates with bat and ball

Arjun made his mark for the first time with the ball, returning impressive figures of 3/11 from three overs, including his first, as Bandra Blasters were restricted to 144/9 in 20 overs. Prasoon Singh led by 2/12 while Om Kshekamat (49) and Sagar Chhabria (44) were the main contributors for the opposition.

Chasing 145, Arcs lost Andheri Divyaansh Sksena after a quick-fire 26, but Arjun and Mushir Khan made sure there were no more hiccups.

The pair installed an unbeaten 116-run stand for the second wicket, taking complete control of the contest. Arjun smashed a scintillating 66 off just 34 deliveries, while Musheer contributed 54 off 38 balls.Their partnership helped Arcs Andheri complete the chase in just 13.5 overs with 37 balls to spare.

Dobe highlights the “backbone” of the team

While Dubey praised the players in the dressing room, he also acknowledged the contribution of Musheer Khan and Ajay Mishra.“In our team, we have not one but two backbones. They are Ajay Mishra and Musheer Khan,” Dubey said.He also praised Divyaansh Sksena for making an excellent start and described Mushir’s innings as a “special hit”.The emphatic victory came as a timely response for Arcs Andheri after they squandered a winning position against Aakash Tigers Mommy Western Suburbs on Sunday and suffered a heartbreaking seven-run defeat.
