Returning players Emma D’Arcy, Matt Smith, Olivia Cooke, Fabian Frankel, Steve Toussaint, Harry Collett, Tom Glynn-Carney, Ewan Mitchell, Bethany Antonia and Phoebe Campbell all graced the carpet at London’s Odeon Lux in Leicester Square, where a massive dragon skull sat atop a bed of candles, in tribute to the Targaryen clan. They were joined by supporting cast members Abu Bakar Saleem, Clinton Liberty, Kurt Ejiawan, Tom Bennett, Gayle Rankin, Kieran Pugh and Abigail Thorne as flames burned across the carpet.
British star Emma Darcy said: “For the first time, there is momentum in her campaign.” Hollywood Reporter The film follows Rhaenyra, who heads into this final installment, which premieres June 21 on HBO and HBO Max, with the goal of reclaiming the Iron Throne after a deal she made with Cooke’s Alicent Hightower.
In Season 3, the political conflict is now an all-out war: Rhaenyra intends to kill Aegon (Glenn Carney) in full view of the public to quash any doubt about her inheritance. “There is a feeling that the situation she finds herself in is somehow doomed… [It’s a] A character who was kind of grounded out of action for two seasons [who is] “Finally on the verge of seizing her end,” Darcy added.
Smith, who plays the magnetic, bloodthirsty demon, admitted it’s a bigger season compared to previous outings. “I think they were aiming for size and gore. It’s a big bloodbath, really, this season,” he smiled. THR“And that’s exactly where we need to go. I think this is when the show works at its best in a lot of ways — especially for Daemon.”

Impatience over the build-up to this war has divided fans of the HBO show so far. Does Smith himself care about this reaction? “Oh, sure,” he said. “It’s all about the fans. That’s why we’re here. That’s why we go and work [U.K. studio] Leavesden for eight months a year. It will never appeal to everyone. Everyone has their own opinion, especially on George [R. R. Martin]a job. “But for me personally, it’s their show,” he said. “We make it, we do all that work, and then we deliver it.” He added, “I hope it gets to the level we want it to be for them.” “And if it doesn’t happen… who knows? Only time will tell. But it’s all about the fans.”
Darcey agreed with his co-star THR On the making of this third season: “We all felt it, even on the page. There’s an increased ambition for the set pieces, but also for the narrative drama. It’s really a conflict that’s been building for two seasons, [it] It suddenly catches fire, so there are stakes everywhere. It’s exciting when you feel like there’s a level up. I think you want to achieve that, and I certainly think the casting company felt that way at the beginning of last year.
Meanwhile, Glenn Carney said that what Egon has in store this season may teach him a few things. “It takes some twists and turns, and he learns a lot about who he wants to be as a man,” the actor said. “I think the overriding feeling for me this year with Egon is that he’s been put in a lot of situations where he’s had to make choices about different things, and I think every outcome has a knock-on effect on the guy he ends up being.”
Toussaint also returns as Sea Snake Corlys Velaryon, and he said eagle-eyed fans might want to prepare themselves for the infamous gullet battle. “The thing is, you read the script and you say, ‘Oh my God, how are they going to do this?’” THR. “Then, you have to think about it as a character in the piece. When you’re in your own battle, you’re not saying to yourself, ‘This is epic, what I’m doing.’ You just want to survive, and I think that’s how we decided how we were going to play it: ‘We just want to win this war and go home.'” He added, “And then, if it proves to be epic, if it proves to be seismic, that’s great.”
Dragon House It remains one of HBO’s most popular shows following the critical and commercial acclaim it has received game of thrones. Showrunner Ryan Condal said in 2024 that it is set to peak with season four.
This coming season will be the first Dragon House Content in two years. Characters joining the fray include James Norton as Lord Ormond Hightower and Dan Fogler as Ser Torrin Manderly. Tom Cullen will also play Ser Lothar Largent and Tommy Flanagan will play the Winter Wolf leader Lord Rodrik Dustin.
