Three pilgrims from Andhra Pradesh were killed and 18 others were injured on Sunday in Bihar’s Aurangabad district, police said.

According to police, the driver fell asleep while the speeding bus rammed into a stationary truck parked near a restaurant on NH 19 under Aurangabad Movasil police station limits. Police said the accident occurred around 12 noon, resulting in the bus colliding.
Police said that two women were among the three who died instantly. The deceased have been identified as Chavadam Hajratiya Theta (50), Padma (43) and Politi Venkateshwarulu (64), all from Sangam village in Nellore district.
Eighteen injured people were rescued with the help of local residents and shifted to Sadar Hospital in Aurangabad. Eight of them, all women, are in critical condition and have been referred to Anugrah Narayan Magadh Medical College and Hospital in Gaya, the SHO said.
The truck and bus were confiscated, and the police registered a case.
In a separate incident around midnight, four men died and the driver was injured after he lost control of a speeding car, which subsequently fell into a canal on the Arwal-Patna Canal Road near Gandhi Maidan under the city police station area in Arwal district, police said.
Five people were in the car returning to Patna from Arwal when the car fell into a canal. Local residents said that windows and doors were jammed due to water pressure. But driver Rohit was saved by breaking the car window and was taken to Sadar Hospital in Arwal.

Town Show Inspector Darbari Chaudhary said the deceased were Rishank Raj (23), Manoj Kumar (36), Rahul Kumar (30) and Aman Kumar (28), all residents of Behta in Patna district.
The families of the deceased arrived at Al-Sadr Hospital, and the bodies were sent for autopsy. He added that a case has been registered and the police are investigating all aspects of the incident.
