The film explores the emotional burden that Georgekutty bears beyond suspense
Directed by Jeethu Joseph, ‘Drishyam 3’ shifts the attention towards the emotional and psychological consequences of previous events rather than focusing entirely on the suspense.ETimes, in its review, noted: “Jeethu Joseph tries to explore guilt, paranoia and psychological exhaustion more than suspense this time around. The focus is not entirely on investigation or survival, but on how violence continues to exist silently within relationships, memory and everyday life.”
“The greatest punishment for Georgekutty is not imprisonment, but not being able to live without fear.”The review also added, “At the same time, the film also reveals, and to some extent glorifies, how cinema and society romanticize heroes. Georgekutty is not shown as a criminal, but as an ordinary man who is transformed into a ‘superhero’ through intelligence and survival instinct. This emotional packaging becomes a social problem.”
The public continues to justify violence, manipulation, and crime because they are committed in the name of protecting the family.
