Vanessa Bryant has faced speculation that she is pregnant.
More than six years after her family faced an unimaginable tragedy, she of course has every right to live her life.
Even as she honors those she lost, her family may grow again one day.
But is she really pregnant as the rumors claim? Here’s what we know:
Last year, rumors surfaced that Vanessa Bryant might be pregnant — initially, seemingly out of nowhere.
The beloved widow is 43 years old, so pregnancy is very likely. But where did these rumors come from?

Apparently, some were quick to rush to congratulate Vanessa Bryant on the alleged pregnancy.

So what is the truth?
In a recent Instagram Story, Vanessa addressed the rumors directly.
“Can you guys decide already…” Vanessa wrote, adding:
“Am I pregnant for the hundredth time or will I get married again???”
We can see she might be upset. After all, this isn’t the first time she’s had to respond to these rumors.
On June 1, 2025, Vanessa Bryant took to her Instagram Story to refute the claim that she is pregnant.
And she got a little help from Rihanna. Kind of.
As you can see in the screenshot, she decided to respond to the allegations, writing:
“I’m protecting my peace, I’m not pregnant and I’m having fun all summer long.”
Bryant used a series of classic Rihanna photo shoots in which the phenomenal singer was holding a drink and wearing scuba gear — and opted to flip the bird on photographers who were capturing the summer fun.
The message is clear: Vanessa Bryant is not pregnant and has no plans to get pregnant (at least for the duration of the summer, which begins the night of June 20 and ends the afternoon of September 22).
In addition, it is clear that – albeit by proxy – she turns her face on the people who harass her with rumors.
Especially since pregnancy rumors often carry an undertone of body shame. That’s enough.
