KSI confirmed last week that he is leaving the Sidemen after spending more than a decade with the group. He explained that he was no longer able to give the team his full attention and felt it was the right time to walk away.After several days of speculation, the Sidemen responded with a detailed statement on social media.
“We want to start this off by saying that we as the Sidemen wish the best for JJ and respect his decision to leave. We will be forever grateful for the wonderful moments and memories we shared together,” the group said.The statement also explained why it took them time to respond. “It is difficult for us to address the situation and it took some time, because we are a group and not an individual. We do not have a spokesperson, and all of our opinions and feelings differ.”The group admitted they were hoping to give KSI a memorable send-off. “Ideally, we would have liked the opportunity to give JJ the send-off he deserves, a proper farewell video, time for everyone to process it, and a chance to celebrate everything we’ve built together,” they said.They then directly addressed the timing of the announcement, saying, “Unfortunately, JJ released the news before we mutually agreed on a way to let our fans know about it.”Despite the disappointment surrounding how the news was revealed, the Sidemen reassured fans that the band will continue.
