Directed by Nitin Kakkar and produced by Vishesh Bhatt, the film sees Imran reprising his iconic role of Shivam from the 2007 original.
The makers of the much-awaited romantic thriller ‘Awarapan 2’ announced on Thursday, June 5, 2026, that the film has officially completed its shooting. Emraan Hashmi, who is helming the film, has wrapped shooting alongside co-star Disha Patani. The film is written by Bilal Siddiqui and directed by director Nitin Kakkar.

Production house Vishesh Films marked the occasion by sharing a picture of Emraan alongside the film’s listing on its official handle. “OGs know this isn’t just a cover. It’s back for you. In theaters August 14,” they wrote in the caption.

According to a press release, the film was shot in diverse and visually stunning locations, including Rajasthan and Southeast Asia. In the second part, Imran returns to his iconic character Shivam, a role that he brought back to life in the 2007 film he directed.
