Playing the lead role in a sports drama film can demand blood, sweat and tears from the actor portraying the role. This is the case with Ram Charan who worked hard in his film ‘Peddi’ as he prepared hard to play the role of a muscular wrestler.

While practicing his wrestling fitness they also used a traditional Indian exercise tool. In addition to this, they also performed Surya Namaskar, rope pulling, and akhada exercises.
Carb cycling diet plan
To maintain high muscle strength, one also needs to pay attention to calories. The team came up with a 1,800-2,500 calorie plan known as carbohydrate cycling.During the shoot, Ram Charan also performed the Ayyappa Mala fast.
It became difficult for the team since the actor was on a 50-60 percent vegetarian diet, but during that period he followed a complete vegetarian diet. This made the process a bit difficult for the team. On days when the team felt that Ram Charan was low, they used to give him extra calories.Ram Charna used to have his first meal in his car while on his way to the sets. Months of preparation for wrestling
The director in a chat with IANS also revealed that the actor trained for 3-4 months to perform the wrestling in the film. He also pointed out that they took the help of the coach who trained Aamir Khan in the movie ‘Dangal’. The makers also included wrestlers from Telangana as part of the film and trained the actress in the film.Keeping in mind multiple factors, the team decided to cast Ram Charan in the role of Peddi Pehelwan.
