Javadli is a former Azerbaijani rhythmic gymnast. She was facing possible arrest for online crimes as she live-streamed it when Dubai Police last came to her house. She said at the time: “I knew it was my last chance to be with my kids because they wouldn’t let me see them again. I honestly thought it was my last chance, so I just went live and asked for help.”
