Prime Minister Narendra Modi will visit Gujarat and Daman on Friday and inaugurate and lay foundation stones for various development projects worth around $22,000 Crores.

The Prime Minister will also deliver a speech in Surat.
The projects to be inaugurated include a 200-bed ESIC hospital in Surat and a new NAMO airport terminal in Daman.
“I will be in Surat, Gujarat and Daman tomorrow, June 5th, to attend various programs aimed at improving the ‘ease of living’ of people. In these two programmes, the development works are worth more than $“Rs 20,000 crore will be inaugurated or foundation stone will be laid,” Modi said in a post on ‘X’.
The major openings include a new airport building, which will improve connectivity, the Prime Minister said in Daman.
“Namu Hospital will cater to the healthcare needs of the people. Foundation stones will be laid for projects like Daman Convention Center and NIFT campus,” he said.
According to an official statement, the Prime Minister will visit Hazira in Surat district on June 5 to review the ongoing industrial operations and infrastructure projects.
Later, he will launch various development projects worth approx $18,800 crore in Surat and addressing a gathering on the occasion.
The Prime Minister will also inaugurate the sixth and seventh packages of the Vadodara-Mumbai Expressway, which aims to enhance high-speed transportation, logistics efficiency and economic connectivity between Gujarat and Maharashtra.
Modi will then inaugurate a 200-bed ESIC hospital in Surat.
He will then travel to Daman, where he will inaugurate Namu Airport’s new terminal and healthcare facility – Namu Hospital.
The Prime Minister will also lay the foundation stone for projects aimed at enhancing modern infrastructure, promoting tourism, encouraging investment, generating employment opportunities, and improving people’s quality of life, the statement said.
In total, it will launch projects worth approx $2,970 crores in guarantee.
The Prime Minister will also physically lay the foundation stones for four important projects of the Union Territory of Lakshadweep worth approx $885 Crores.
These projects include developing port facilities on the eastern and western sides of both Kalbeni Island and Kadmat Island.
Modi said that the foundation stone for development work in Lakshadweep will also be laid.
“These works include developing port facilities on the eastern and western sides of both Kalbeni Island and Kadmat Island. By improving marine infrastructure, these initiatives will benefit coastal communities, generate economic activity, encourage tourism and enhance Lakshadweep’s growth trajectory,” he said.
