Police added that the attack injured a security guard, sparked large student protests and sparked an ongoing investigation into possible rivalry between the training centres.

The three detainees were identified as Roshan Anand, Director of Gyan Bindu Training Institute; Prince Gaurav; And Abhishek. They were produced before a local court and remanded in custody on Wednesday.

The exact nature of the attack remains under investigation.

“We were inside while the teachers were taking their lessons,” Khan said. “The guard said he couldn’t understand what was happening.”

He added that the attackers vandalized property, assaulted the security guard, and “fired between 8 and 10 shots.”

But the police deny that any shooting took place. They say the guard’s injury was caused by being hit with a brick.

Patna Senior Superintendent of Police (SSP) K Sharma said: “It was a case of physical assault in which a guard was injured. He is currently undergoing treatment. Further action is being taken after recording the statements of the victim and local residents.”

Patna City SP Diksha said the CCTV footage is being examined. “It appears that rivalry between training institutes sparked the clash. So far, 10 to 12 suspects have been identified,” she said.

A number of angry students gathered outside the training center, raising slogans and demanding justice and improved security after the attack.

Rajya Sabha MP Sanjay Kumar Jha, from Bihar’s ruling Janata Dal (United) party, promised quick action. “The criminals will be arrested. Strict action will be taken under the NDA government led by Prime Minister Samrat Chaudhary,” Jha said.
