The dispute between Farhan and Ranveer took a serious turn when Excel Entertainment reportedly sought compensation of Rs 40-45 crore, claiming huge losses due to Ranveer’s exit from ‘Don 3’. The matter then reached FWICE, which issued a non-cooperation directive against the actor. What started as an announcement of an exit from a film, has now turned into one of the biggest controversies the Indian film industry has witnessed in recent times.

Farhan reached out to IFTDA and FWICE after Ranveer pulled out of Don 3 just weeks before the filming began. The fallout has since evolved into a major dispute, involving compensation claims amounting to Rs 45 crore, creative differences, and a non-cooperation directive issued against Ranveer across the industry.

FWICE officials stated that Farhan and Ritesh Sidhwani had already pumped a huge amount of money into the pre-production of Don 3 before Ranveer’s exit. Since Singh did not appear before the union, a non-cooperation direction was issued against him. FCIWE’s Ashoke Pandit later intervened to clarify that this was not a legal ban. He explained that members across 30 trades have been advised to avoid working with Ranveer until the dispute is resolved.
