Commenting on the ongoing internet stir, Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Cockcrouch Janta Party (CJP) Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh (RSS) leader Sunil Ambekar said that different opinions and public debates are a normal part of a democratic society and should not be viewed with concern.

Cockroach Janta Party, a satirical group that has emerged as a voice for Generation Z on social media, has outnumbered followers of several political parties, including the BJP, on Instagram.
Indian democracy has the capacity to accommodate all voices and sentiments, RSS Prachar Pramukh Sunil Ambekar said, adding that “Generation Z” has faith in the country.
“We are a conscious society and follow the democratic process. Within this democratic process, we have transparent elections, open media, and now social media as well. Open forums are being held every day. So, I believe that in a democracy, any kind of discussion and people expressing different opinions should not be considered as a shock. It should be considered a part of the natural process,” Ambekar was quoted as saying by news agency ANI.
The RSS leader’s remarks come amid a row surrounding the CJP, with BJP leaders questioning the intent behind the move and alleging Pakistani links behind the outfit.
Responding to questions about the RJD, Ambekar said India follows democratic processes, holds transparent elections, and has open media, including social media.
CJP’s X handle has been banned by the government and a matter is still pending before the Delhi High Court.
Generation Z is very optimistic, and has faith in the country
Ambekar said that India’s youth or Generation Z are very optimistic and have great faith in the country. The RSS also has full confidence in the youth, he added.
“The strength of our people and our democracy is strong. I believe our democracy has the ability to accommodate everyone’s voices and feelings, and people should have confidence in that. The RSS has full confidence in that,” he said.
Speaking about concerns about the AKP, he said: “In a democratic system, different issues arise, and there are democratic ways to deal with them.”
Asked whether the RSS should respond to such issues, Ambekar said democratic institutions, political parties and media are capable of handling such matters on their own.
“These are all talks, and the people concerned will themselves deal with these issues. I think the media is free enough to deal with them. The political parties are capable, none of our institutions are weak. They are capable of handling things, our system is also capable. So, I don’t think the RSS needs to rush into things immediately,” Ambekar said.
Several opposition leaders, including Mahua Moitra, Kirti Azad, Akhilesh Yadav and others, expressed their support for the RJD. Bollywood celebrities and comedians also came out to support her.
