Conservative commentator Matt Walsh has pushed back against viral social media claims about Erica Kirk, the widow of the late Turning Point USA founder Charlie Kirk. The controversy began after an X account called Project Covenant claimed that Erika Kirk was romantically involved with Blake Wayne and was seen with him at a Beverly Hills hotel.
The post quickly gained attention online. She claimed that witnesses saw Erica Kirk and Blake Wynn showing affection in the hotel bar on May 14. The novel also indicated that the relationship may have begun before Charlie Kirk’s death.However, both Erica Kirk and Blake Wynn have publicly denied the allegations. Matt Walsh also chimed in and called the allegations false and accused the account of targeting Kirk for months.
His reaction added another layer to the online dispute that has continued to attract attention across social media platforms.

The viral post came from Project Constitution, an X account said to be run by conspiracy theorist Colin Scott Campbell, according to The Daily Beast. The post claimed that Erica Kirk had “moved on” and been seen with Blake Wynn, the nephew of casino tycoon Steve Wynn.
The account claimed that an eyewitness saw the couple together at a Beverly Hills hotel on May 14 and claimed they were acting like a couple.
He also questioned Erica Kirk’s public image and suggested that she was faking sadness while moving on privately.Matt Walsh strongly criticized those claims. He wrote in a post on the X website:“This silly slob has been harassing Erica with one retarded slanderous lie after another for months. He deserves to be dragged into oblivion, but the problem is that he’s almost certainly already broke, and has no dignity or moral character to speak of, so he has literally nothing to lose by continuing this crazy crusade.”Walsh has defended Erica Kirk before. Last month, he also spoke out against people who mocked her online after she was seen emotional following the shooting incident at the White House Correspondents’ Dinner.Shortly after the rumor spread, Erica Kirk responded directly to X and denied every part of the story.“Every word here is a lie. Charlie’s love will last me a lifetime. Only God can fill this most painful void.”She said she was at home in Arizona on May 14 celebrating her son’s second birthday. Erica Kirk also noted that she shared a birthday for her son on Instagram that day.She added that Blake Wayne was a close friend of her late husband and continued to provide for her family. According to her statement, Wayne is also preparing to get engaged to his longtime girlfriend.Blake Wynn later posted his own response, writing:“I hate to be the bearer of bad news to the cesspool of bots and X-users who spend all day making things up under the guise of journalism, but I’m not dating Erica Kirk.”So far, no evidence has been provided to support these claims, and each of the people mentioned in the rumors have publicly denied the allegations.
