The 2026 Canadian Screen Awards (CSSA) will be held on Sunday, May 31 and will be broadcast across a number of Canadian broadcasters on television. The ceremony will also be streamed free online via CBC’s YouTube channel.
While the CBC (Canadian Broadcasting Corporation) offers occasional clips on its YouTube channel, live video is only available to residents of Canada. To stream CSAs live from outside Canada, you’ll need to use a VPN to set your location to a Canadian IP address.

Canadian Screen Awards 2026 Nominees
Hot competition The series received 18 nominations for this year’s ceremony, including a nod for Outstanding Drama Series, as well as lead performance nominations for Hudson Williams and François Arnault. Ksenia Daniela Kharlamova and Sophie Nellis were nominated for Best Supporting Performance in a Drama, while Nadine Bhabha was nominated for Best Performance in a Guest Role. It should be noted that the CSA changed its eligibility criteria this year to nominate only Canadian citizens and permanent residents. Series star Connor Story is an American citizen and is therefore ineligible for nomination.

In the Film category: RT Thorne 40 acres The film leads with 10 nominations, including Best Motion Picture. Meanwhile, Mike Myers will be honored with the Academy Icon Award, which will be presented to a Canadian individual “for his or her exceptional and sustained contribution to the media industry at home or abroad.”
