EE Times Review
ETimes highlighted the film’s unique blend of fantasy, courtroom drama and commercial entertainment in its review. The review stated, “Karuppu joins a long line of Indian films centered around divine intervention in human life, in which God descends into the mortal world to confront forces so unjust that they almost become a challenge to divinity itself.”The review also added, “What sets Karuppu apart from films like Oh My God or Arai Enn 305-il Kadavul is how unapologetically this premise is framed within a mass masala template.”She also praised the film’s commercial approach and its crowd-pleasing elements. “Rather than approaching divinity through satire, philosophy, or light fantasy alone, the film treats God as a fully-fledged commercial hero figure — complete with poignant dialogue, uplifting moments, and crowd-pleasing songs.”The review concluded, “It is precisely this combination of courtroom drama, emotional stakes, and ‘God as collective hero’ energy that gives the film its distinctive flavor.”Disclaimer: Box office numbers and data in this article are compiled from public and industry sources.
