The original cast of grandchildren Cameron pays tribute to Boyce on the late actor’s birthday.
Boyce died on July 6, 2019, at the age of 20, “in his sleep due to an epileptic seizure that was the result of an ongoing medical condition for which he was being treated,” a family spokesperson said at the time. He was born on May 28, 1999, meaning he will turn 27 on Thursday.
Dove Cameron shared two black-and-white photos of herself and Boyce on Instagram. “Happy birthday. I love you,” she wrote in their name grandchildren “Forever,” star Sofia Carson wrote in the comments section.
Carson shared a tribute of her own on Instagram, a photo of Boyce in front of a sunset, writing: “Happy heavenly birthday to our angel. You are my sunshine, forever.”
Booboo Stewart posted a series of photos and videos of Jesse Star online too, including a behind-the-scenes video grandchildren films. “Happy birthday mr @thecameronboyce, lots of laughs,” he wrote.
Boyce, Cameron, Carson, and Stewart starred in the first three grandchildren Disney Channel movies, where they played the children of famous Disney villains. Boyce portrays Carlos, Cruella de Vil’s son; Cameron Mal was Maleficent’s daughter. Carson played Evie, the daughter of the Evil Queen. Stewart portrayed Jay Ben Jaafar.
China Anne McClain, who joined the series in her second film as Ursula’s daughter Uma, posted some photos of herself, Boyce and Stewart online, writing: “Happy birthday Cam.”
Adam Sandler recently appeared in the movie Boyce Happy Gilmore 2for which his mother Libby Boyce expressed her gratitude on Instagram after the release of the sequel. (Sandler and Boyce played father and son in the film Adults movies.)
“Adam and Cameron spoke quite a bit in the days leading up to his death,” Libby Boyce wrote on Instagram in July. “Cameron was supposed to be in[[Hobby Halloween]And they were developing strategies. I think they have a bond about being authentic and funny and keeping it real. Adam always finds a way to keep Cam’s memory alive which warms our hearts.
Libby shared a touching video of Boyce on Instagram on Thursday, accompanying a caption with a series of purple hearts.
