Sebastian Stan’s superhero days at Marvel are long gone. The actor, best known for playing the Winter Soldier, also known as Bucky Barnes, will soon move to the DC Universe, as the iconic Batman villain Two-Face in the Robert Pattinson-led film “The Batman: Part II.”The actor, who made waves at Cannes for his role in “Fjord,” teases his transformation as Harvey Dent, the idealistic Gotham District Attorney who eventually descends into madness and becomes the villain known as Two-Face.While promoting his film, which won the prestigious Palme d’Or at the Cannes Film Festival, Stan teased that he would be playing “a lot of roles in this film.”Having already established himself within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, this role marks Stan’s first major foray into DC Universe territory.
He shared his thoughts on taking on the role and collaborating with the hair and makeup teams to create the character’s new look. “I’m excited, I’m nervous and I’m trying to keep surprising myself,” he said.According to reports, the film will likely depict Dent’s evolution from charming prosecutor to famous Two-Face, after underworld figure Sal “Boss” Maroney throws acid in his face, permanently disfiguring one side of his face.
Reports suggest that ‘The Batman: Part II’ will delve deeper into Harvey Dent’s backstory and will also shed light on Bruce Wayne’s journey, along with playing Batman. Former Game of Thrones star Charles Dance is said to be set to play Dent’s father Christopher, while Scarlett Johansson has been rumored to play his wife Gilda.The sequel sees it again

He returns as director and co-writer following the critical and commercial success of 2022’s ‘The Batman’. Recent social media posts from the production have caused a stir among fans after photos and videos saw Pattinson filming double scenes alongside Gotham City Police Department vehicles inside Liverpool’s Birkenhead Tunnel. The actor was also spotted in London where production is set to begin.Principal photography for the film is expected to begin next month, and filming is scheduled to take place in Liverpool and Glasgow, Scotland.“The Batman: Part II” is currently scheduled to hit theaters on October 1, 2027.
