The officer was later awarded the Ashoka Chakra posthumously for his bravery.Her mother, Subhashini Vasanth, also remained closely associated with working with army families and social support. Rukmini grew up with a family history shaped by service, courage, and public duty. She has a sister Yashoda.The actor later chose a completely different path.
