Coming Hello kitty The animated film introduces its creative team.

Robert Ben Garant and Thomas Lennon wrote the screenplay treatment.
The film will mark Hello Kitty’s theatrical debut in Hollywood. Shelby Thomas supervises Hello kitty Film by FlynnPictureCo, featuring live action Moana Hits theaters July 10.
Japanese company Sanrio first launched the property in 1974, and plans have been in the works for a decade to bring Hello Kitty to the big screen. Yoko Shimizu created the main character as a British anthropomorphic white cat named Kitty White who wears a red bow. Hello Kitty has produced a number of animated series and a wide range of merchandise.
After news first broke in 2015 that Sanrio was looking to adapt the film, Hollywood Reporter Reported four years later that New Line and FlynnPictureCo. They were developing an English advantage. This was the first time that Hello Kitty and other popular characters such as Gudetama, My Melody, and Little Twin Stars were licensed to a major film studio.
“I’m very excited that Hello Kitty and other iconic Sanrio characters will be making their Hollywood debut,” Sanrio founder Shintaro Tsuji said in a statement in 2019. “Hello Kitty has long been a symbol of friendship and we hope this film will grow that circle of friendship around the world.”
Derek made his directorial debut with Moana 2 Having worked on the 2016 original animated film, as well as contributing as a story artist on projects such as Raya and the Last Dragon, Encanto And the 2019 edition of The lion king. A veteran of television and feature animation, Oshima makes his film debut as co-director for Netflix Ultraman: Rising After getting the credits for Gravity falls and Kobo and the two series.
