K-drama and superhero fans rejoice! Disney+ has revealed that production has begun on the second season of the popular Korean superhero show Moving.
The Seoul-set drama about super-powered agents has taken a huge hit in the ratings for Disney+, becoming a bona fide global hit for the streamer and a strong justification for its massive investment in South Korean content. The first season of Moving It won the Busan International Film Festival Asian Content Awards in 2023 and became the most watched Korean show on Disney+ just 7 days after its release.
Moving The series is based on the webtoon written by famous screenwriter Kangful, who wrote the script for the first season and returned for the second season. For the second season, series stars Ryu Seung-ryong, Han Hyo-joo, Zo In-sung, and Go Youn-jung are set to return, with newcomer Won Gyu-bin as Kim Bong-seok joining the cast.
Season 2 sees events unfold in the days immediately following the Jeongwon High School incident, and according to the synopsis, “will follow our heroes as they settle back into their daily lives. But while things seem to be returning to normal, new and familiar threats will emerge to put their loved ones in danger.”
Plus Kangfull, who also created the show Light shop For Disney+, Moving Season 2 will see Kingdom filmmaker Kim Seong-hun join as director.
