Iranian media reported on Sunday that the United States “did not make any tangible concessions” in its latest response to Tehran’s proposed agenda for negotiations aimed at ending the war that began with joint American-Israeli strikes on February 28 and has remained stalled since April 28.Click here for the latest updates on the Iran warMehr News Agency reported, “The United States, which has not made any tangible concessions, wants to obtain concessions that it failed to obtain during the war. This will lead to a dead end in the negotiations.”According to Fars News Agency, Washington presented a list of five conditions:
- Tehran will keep only one
The nuclear site is ready for operation - The Islamic Republic will transfer its stock of highly enriched uranium to the United States
- The United States will not release “up to 25%” of Iran’s assets frozen abroad
- There will be no compensation for the damage caused to Iran during the war
- Hostilities on all fronts must cease when negotiations begin
In its proposal, Iran called for an end to the war on all fronts, including the Israeli military campaign in Lebanon, as well as an end to the US naval blockade of Iranian ports imposed since April 13.

According to Fars, the proposal also emphasized that Tehran would continue to control the Strait of Hormuz, a vital global energy corridor it has kept largely closed since the beginning of the war. About 20% of the world’s oil supply passes through the Strait of Hormuz.Meanwhile, Iranian Armed Forces spokesman Abolfazl Shekarchi warned US President Donald Trump against resuming attacks on the Asian country.State television quoted Shikarchi as saying: “The desperate American president must know that if his threats are implemented, his country’s resources and army will face unprecedented, offensive, sudden and turbulent scenarios.”Likewise, Deputy Speaker of Parliament Hamid Reza Haj Babaei warned against targeting Iran’s oil infrastructure.“If Iranian oil is damaged, Iran will take measures that will prevent the United States and the world from accessing oil from the region for a long time,” the ISNA news agency quoted Hajibabaei as saying.(With AFP inputs)
