White buffaloes in Bangladesh that resemble world leaders US President Donald Trump and Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu have become a major attraction ahead of Eid al-Adha, with crowds gathering daily at cattle farms in Narayanganj near the capital Dhaka to catch a glimpse of the unusual animals.One of the buffalo, a 700kg albino named Donald Trump, has gone viral on social media with visitors describing its resemblance to the US president.The Independent newspaper reported that the buffalo was named “Donald Trump” because of his golden hair and facial appearance.“When I saw his pictures on Facebook, he looked exactly like Donald Trump. His facial structure and even his hairstyle matched Trump’s,” one visitor told local newspaper Prothom Alo.She added jokingly: “Buffalo is very calm and polite by nature, which definitely does not suit Donald Trump.”
The animal’s owner, Dia El-Din Merida, said that large numbers of people were visiting the farm every day to take pictures and see the buffalo.“My younger brother jokingly named him Donald Trump after seeing the hair on his head,” he said, according to The Independent. “He is very calm by nature. White buffalo are generally peaceful and do not become aggressive unless provoked.”
According to reports, the buffalo has already been sold at Tk 550 per kg and will be handed over to its new owner before Eid.Another attention-grabbing albino buffalo in Narayanganj has been named after Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.The buffalo, which weighs more than 750 kg, is said to be known for its aggressive behaviour. Local reports claimed that the animal’s hair and eyes resembled Netanyahu’s appearance.Local media quoted one visitor as saying: “I came here after hearing about this buffalo.”A manager at the SS cattle farm said the buffalo named “Netanyahu” was difficult to handle.The manager said: “Netanyahu is very naughty and has deceptive intelligence. Even when we go to feed him, he snores and tries to headbutt us.”
The farm has six albino buffaloes, all known for their temperamental behavior.“Large crowds arrive every day to catch a glimpse of it,” the director added.
