Only in Cannes does this magic happen in the most magical places.

For the 79th edition of the film festival, Dior has opened its doors to a suite on the sixth floor of the Majestic Hotel, where the house’s team of makeup artists will be present, from May 12 to 23, to help celebrities prepare for their appearance on the red carpet.

Last year, the Dior Pavilion hosted stars such as Natalie Portman, Robert Pattinson, Jennifer Lawrence, Ryo Yoshizawa, Nicole Wallace, Harriet Herbig Matten, Razan Jamal and Nadja Tereshkiewicz. But this year’s VIPs will be welcomed with new perspectives. The Dior Suite in Cannes is given a new look year after year, and in 2026, the interiors have drawn from multiple sources of inspiration.

The color scheme in shades of white and sky blue evokes a scene just steps away—the French Riviera—and the striped patterns create a beach resort feel. Adding to the walls is a gallery of figures wearing hooded balls, said to be a nod to the art of film costume design inspired by illustrations by French artist and fashion illustrator Christian Bérard, who did work for the house’s founder Christian Dior.

Monsieur Dior’s handwritten signature was also added to highlight the space along with the wicker shells. Inside there is also an old-fashioned tent in the center of the first reception room – a “room within a room”, if you will – featuring the same Dior Masquerade pattern. Steps away, the main reception room offers privacy, palm tree lamps and a white sofa and armchairs positioned towards the balcony overlooking the sea.

Back to beauty: Dior offers express massages and facials performed by in-house experts in the treatment room. This year’s list includes the brand’s American ambassador, Sarah Akram, and Dior’s global health expert, Hoda Akram. The make-up room is managed by Dior Backstage professionals such as Norman Pohl, Jimmy Coombs, Junior Cedeno, Ricky Wilson and Serby Gil, and international make-up artists including Aurore Gauthier, Cristina Vidic, Robbie Mazewell, Khaila, Vuvi Mathias, Christina Lutz, Carol Hanna and Alexandra Schiavi using sets designed by Dior Creative and Image Director Peter Philips.

The nail bar for manicure and care is fully equipped with the Dior Vernis line. And one more thing for men: Barber and Dior Sauvage ambassador Brice Tchaga will take care of their appearance with his signature beard and hair care routine that cleanses, soothes and revitalizes. It’s good timing, too, as Dior recently launched Sauvage shampoo and hair serum products to its popular men’s line headlined by Johnny Depp.

Dior and Dyson Beauty continue their collaboration in Cannes (under the supervision of Dyson Ambassador Pierre Saint-Sever) highlighting products such as the popular Dyson Supersonic r™ hair dryer, travel hair products and formulas, and a new addition with the portable fan called the HushJet Mini Cool.
