The above-mentioned sources said that the defendants were arrested in connection with the incident that occurred on May 12. The woman was raped in a private bus in west Delhi’s Nangloi area, ANI reported.

Based on the woman’s statement, an FIR was registered and an investigation was launched into the matter. The source said that the police seized the bus.

More details are awaited.

Meanwhile, another alleged rape case sparked protests by the opposition Aam Aadmi Party, whose leaders were arrested by Delhi Police on Wednesday during a demonstration outside Raj Niwas.

AAP’s Saurabh Bharadwaj and several other leaders on Wednesday gathered outside Raj Niwas to demand a meeting over the sexual assault of a three-year-old girl at school in Janakpuri.

According to AAP, the arrest came after the delegation waited for hours outside Raj Bhavan seeking a meeting with Lieutenant Governor Taranjit Singh Sandhu over Delhi Police officers allegedly threatening the parents of the child survivor.

Describing the police action as inhumane, AAP Delhi state president Saurabh Bharadwaj said LG had time to manufacture reels but not to listen to the public, adding that AAP’s struggle for justice for the child will continue.

In a video of Bharadwaj’s arrest, former Delhi Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal said on Channel

Saurabh, you are fighting for justice for a helpless family, Kejriwal said, telling him: “The public stands with you.”

Kejriwal said the BJP’s cup of sins had runneth over and warned: “Now they will reap the fruits of their sins.”
