Apple TV wants more Margo has financial problems.

The tech giant’s streaming service has ordered a second season of the series. pickup for Margo has financial problems It comes a week before the end of the first season and on the heels of critical acclaim for the series.

Elle Fanning plays the main character, a college student who becomes pregnant and turns to OnlyFans to help support herself and her child. Michelle Pfeiffer and Nick Offerman play Margo’s parents, a former Hooters waitress and former professional wrestler. Thaddea Graham and Nicole Kidman also star in the series, which is based on the novel by Rovi Thorpe.

Eva Andersson, writer and executive producer of the series, will join creator David E. Kelley as co-host in season two.

“Embarking on the adventure of bringing Margot to the screen has been one of the greatest joys of my life,” says Fanning, who also executive produces. “When I first read Rovi’s incredible story, it felt completely authentic and, most importantly, human. Then, with David’s writing, along with our epic cast of haunting performances, it really felt like we had something special. Having the opportunity to bring more of Margo’s problems, creativity, daring spirit, and authenticity to audiences in Season 2 makes me incredibly happy and excited. I can promise everyone they’re in for a wild, messy, beautiful ride.”

The show’s cast also includes Marcia Gay Harden, Greg Kinnear, Michael Angarano, Rico Nasty, and Lindsay Normington.

“Since David’s sharp adaptation of Rovi’s novel debuted, audiences have wanted to spend more time with these compelling characters and the amazing cast behind them, led by Elle, Michelle, Nick and Thaddea,” says Matt Cherniss, head of programming at Apple TV. “We’re excited to watch Margot and the entire family continue to defy the odds in Season 2 the way only they can – with humor, determination and creativity.”

A24 produces Margo has financial problems. Kelly and Anderson executive produce with Fanning, Dakota Fanning and Brittany Kahan Ward for Lewellen Pictures; Kidman and Per Saari of Blossom Films; Matthew Tinker for David E. Kelley Productions; Pfeiffer, Thorpe, Beau Killebrew, and pilot director Dearbella Walsh. Kate Heron and Alice Seabright also directed episodes of the first season.
