Sunil tragically lost his life in the late hours of May 7, 2026, due to a sudden heart attack, leaving behind a grieving family and two young children whose world was changed forever.

Gundrai was originally from Gadwal in Telangana and came from a humble background where education and hard work were valued. The fundraiser describes how he was inspired by his father, who was a public school teacher, and worked doggedly to build a stable future in the United States.

Every sacrifice he made was driven by one dream – to give his children the best future and education possible.”The page notes that Gundrai was the only earning member in the family, and his sudden death left his family struggling to cope while being away from extended relatives and support systems.“As the only earning member of the family, Sunil’s unexpected death left his wife and children facing tremendous emotional and financial hardship, far from their extended family and support system.”A fundraising campaign has been launched to help the family meet immediate and long-term needs, including living expenses, funeral costs and the children’s education.Funds raised through this campaign will help provide for: ⁠ Immediate living and emergency expenses, ⁠ ⁠ Funeral and related arrangements, ⁠ Family needs and daily needs of the family, ⁠ Long-term educational support for his two young children – realizing a dream that Sunil cherishes so much.Organizers appealed for public support, saying small contributions can make a difference.“No donation is too small. Every contribution, every engagement and every prayer can make a meaningful difference in helping this family regain stability and hope during an unimaginable tragedy.”As of Sunday, the fundraiser has raised $64,553 of the $200,000 target, with 789 donations received so far.
