AMMK general secretary TTV Dhinakaran on Friday claimed that he was not able to contact MLA S Kamaraj (Mannargudi) and alleged that “horse trading” was being done by actor-politician C Joseph Vijay led TVK. path Live updates of Tamil Nadu CM oath ceremony.

Hours after his complaint with Governor Rajendra Arlikar, who asked him to conduct an inquiry, Kamaraj and Dinakaran met the media outside Lok Bhavan on Saturday.

“TVK appears to have provided what appears to be a copy of our MLA’s support letter, which is actually a forged letter. Therefore, I have asked the governor to investigate the matter. We will also go to the police station to file a complaint about the forged letter issued in the name of my MLA,” Dinakaran said.

He said that since the AMMK had only one MLA, TVK thought they could easily misuse him to form the government.

“The governor took the matter seriously and said he would take the necessary steps. We asked him not to allow those involved in fraud to form the government.” Dinakaran said.

The issue arose on Friday when Dinakaran claimed that he along with Kamaraj had sent a letter to the governor’s office extending their support to AIADMK general secretary Edappadi K Palaniswami and the governor should invite Palaniswami to form the government.

However, Dinakaran claimed that the letter claiming that his party MLA extended support to TVI instead of AIADMK had been “forged” by TVK.

“He is our MLA. I extended our support to Palaniswami and he is staying at a resort in Puducherry with our friends. So he signed the letter around 6.30 pm and sent it here. But on TV channels I saw news that our party is supporting Vijay’s TVK. I was shocked,” Dinakaran said. Dinakaran said.

He said: “I requested an appointment with the governor this evening and immediately presented him with the letter requesting an investigation into it. I feel that it is fraud and horse trading.”

In response to Dhinakaran’s accusations, TVK released a video that went viral on social media on Saturday, in which Kamaraj is seen writing a letter and extending his support to TVK.

Sharing the video, TVK said: “These are the visuals of AMMK MLA Kamaraj voluntarily and happily writing a letter expressing his support to TVK. He said he was extending support to TVK with the approval of AMMK General Secretary TTV Dhinakaran.”

TVK claimed in its social media post that the information now being spread that he did not write the letter is completely false and contradicts the truth.

“By hiding all these facts, TTV Dhinakaran continues to spread fake news and misinformation. The public must understand that TVK does not need to bargain or negotiate with anyone.” She added.

TVK, which won 108 seats, sought support from several smaller camps to gain 118 seats in the 234-seat assembly. The CPI(M), which has two seats each, and the Congress, with five seats extended support to TVK.

TVK still needs an additional seat to obtain the majority needed to form the government.
