Nikkhil Advani is developing ‘Salaam-E-Ishq 2’, nearly two decades after his 2007 romance anthology first hit theaters. The second part will turn the film into a film series with a new story centered around three couples whose lives intersect between love, fate, and personal choices.

The film explores issues of commitment, social pressure and emotional conflict in present-day India. The original ‘Salaam-E-Ishq’ features a large ensemble cast, including Salman Khan, Priyanka Chopra, John Abraham, Vidya Balan, Govinda, Anil Kapoor, Juhi Chawla, Akshaye Khanna and Sohail Khan, among others.

Advani is now planning to bring together another prominent multi-generational cast for the sequel. The makers of the film have not announced the cast yet.
