The post quickly spread across X, bringing old allegations back into public view and reigniting discussions about privacy, online attacks and political influencer culture. The controversy gained more attention because it came amid Owens’ own allegations that she was targeted by what she described as a coordinated campaign of harassment after leaving The Daily Wire. The public fallout has now escalated into a broader online war involving accusations of stalking, doxxing, and legal threats.

The archived report described Owens as “the victim of an alleged hate crime in which the mayor’s son was a suspect,” while also stating that she was later arrested after “sending a threatening message from her Facebook account.”According to the article, “Owens allegedly sent a digital message to another person’s account threatening physical harm, Stamford Police Sergeant Joseph Kennedy said.”Reports from CTPost and the News-Times said Owens faced second-degree harassment and second-degree menacing charges at the time.

“Candace, you are a pathological liar. Your vehicle information is publicly available online through your trust and your husband’s arrest record.
