Palak Tiwari talks about growing up without a father: 'I never felt like there was anything missing'

Palak Tiwari, daughter of Shweta Tiwari and Raja Chaudhary, recently spoke about her childhood and said that her father’s absence was never a void and credited the strong women in her family for raising her.Speaking to Ufa, Ballack said: “It never bothered me.

A child is like a sponge. You reflect everything your parents show you. I never felt like there was anything missing. She added that she grew up in a complete and loving family. “I had my grandmother, my mother, my family… The house was full. I had never felt so deprived of anything in my life.”

“My mother never said be a good girl.”

Palak also spoke about how she has never been under the pressure of being a ‘good girl’.“My mother never looked at me and said be a good girl. She was always happy.

“Whatever makes me happy is what you are happy with,” she said.“I think there’s a reason why girls are called ‘good’ and women are called ‘strong’. I’d rather be a happy woman than a good girl. Goodness is subjective anyway.”

“We have always been a women-first family.”

She credited the strong women in her family with shaping her mindset.“My mother raised me and Janie raised her… We were always at the forefront when it came to empowering women. We were a family that always put women first,” she said.

“You can be good to your family, and you can be good to yourself, but you can’t just be ‘good’ period. What does that even mean?”

Recalling her childhood incident, Palak said that her mother always protected her.“My mother never lets anyone disrespect me. Someone once said I don’t have a father at home.
