Clavcular was charged with unlawful discharge of a firearm after he was seen on video shooting an alligator in the Florida Everglades.

The video shows Clavular, a “looksmaxxing” influencer whose real name is Braden Peters, and two others firing several shots at what appears to be a dead alligator.

Jeffrey Nieman, Peters’ attorney, said the group was “following the instructions of a licensed air boat guide.” He added that the broadcaster “relied on that directive” and that “no animal or human was harmed.”

Peters faces up to a year in prison and a $1,000 fine. Two others were also charged with discharging a firearm in a public place.

The incident occurred March 26 in the Francis Taylor Everglades Wildlife Management Area. In the video that went viral, Peters appears to stand at the front of the boat and fire at least 11 shots at the dead alligator.

According to court records, his bail was set at $1,000. A trial date is scheduled for May 20.

The charges, filed on April 29, add to Peters’ mounting legal troubles. He also faces misdemeanor battery and conspiracy to commit battery charges for allegedly setting up a fight between two women. According to law enforcement, he instigated the dispute, which was later posted on social media.

In April, Peters was hospitalized after appearing to overdose on a live broadcast. “I just got home, it was brutal,” he wrote on Twitter, along with a photo of himself. “All the stuff is just an attempt to feel neurotypical while in public, but clearly that’s not a real solution. The worst part of tonight was my face coming down from the life support mask.”
