Just in time for May 4thyOn the official Star Wars holiday, the Lucas Museum of Narrative Art has revealed the name and exciting details of its first Star Wars installation.

Titled Star Wars in motionPart of the inaugural cinema exhibition, the show will focus on numerous modes of transport, from a wide range of high-speed racers to massive transport vehicles and flying ships, from the first six films of George Lucas’ fantasy sci-fi epic.

“From Landspeeder Luke in Star Wars: Episode IV – A New Hope To the first physical build of a General Grievious wheeled bicycle from Star Wars: Episode III – Revenge of the Sith, The Lucas Museum’s inaugural cinema exhibition will dazzle audiences with the possibilities of propulsive action in faraway and exotic worlds.

The cinema exhibit will be one of more than thirty installations that will open with the museum on September 22. All inaugural displays are curated by Lucas and his wife, Melody Hobson, drawn from the museum’s founding collection.

At the museum, exhibitions will trace the evolution of human culture through visual storytelling, from ancient sculptures of gods and goddesses to Renaissance paintings to modern photographs, comics and cinema.

Exhibits will feature topics such as architecture, civic life, history, and genres such as westerns and children’s tales. Media such as comics, manga, anime, and photography; It focuses on artists ranging from Frank Frazetta, Normal Rockwell, NC Wyeth, and Jesse Wilcox Smith, among many others.

The presentations will include more than 1,200 pieces installed in more than 30 galleries, occupying approximately 100,000 square feet of exhibition space.
