Divya Dutta praises Shah Rukh Khan
Speaking to Humans of Bombay, Divya reflected on what makes Shah Rukh Khan truly special outside of stardom. “My reading of Shah Rukh is that he had a lot of ups and downs in his life. What’s beautiful about that is that he was educated. He made it his life’s motto that he would spread joy around him. How amazing is that?” She said.

Then Divya Dutta recalled a warm, unscripted moment from a post-awards flight that she will never forget. On board the flight was Vidya Balan.

And Divya herself with her mother. The group was playing stupid charades when SRK noticed her mother watching the movie Gangs of Wasseypur and calmly extended her hand to interact with her.
“Shah Rukh is a very sensitive person. He knows that ki mere aas paas kisko kya zarurat hain. I remember traveling from the IIFA awards, and we were playing stupid skits. There was Vidya Balan, Dia Mirza and me, and the rest were all men. My mother was watching Gangs of Wasseypur, and Shah Rukh put his hand on the screen and moved it three times to act out something. I thought if it was me, I would have scolded me, but my mother did not react, and was very happy. Because Shahrukh Khan admitted it.”
But the story did not end there. Even after landing, amidst a huge crowd of people and tight security, Shah Rukh Khan ensured everyone’s safety before departing. “There were people and security personnel… and there was a huge crowd chanting: ‘Shah Rukh!’ He waited for us all to leave in our cars. How can you forget things like that? This is Shah Rukh. He is a wow factor,” she added.
