'The first Indian person to suck his job': SNL mocks Kash Patel with Aziz Ansari cameo

Saturday Night Live gained attention after a surprise final episode featured comedian Aziz Ansari, who played FBI Director Kash Patel in a cold, sarcastic exchange that went viral. The cartoon targeted Patel’s dominance and public image.

Ansari’s version of the official addressed reporters in an exaggerated and joking manner about his performance in office.“You guys shouldn’t be spreading lies and rumours,” Ansari’s Patel told reporters. He added: “You should write about the historic nature of my appointment. I am a pioneer. I am the first Indian to misbehave.”In the clip, the character continued with her self-deprecating humor and Indian stereotypes, saying, “Everyone says Indian people are smart, hardworking, and incredibly intelligent.

You have proven beyond a doubt that we can be as powerless and incompetent as white people. The sketch also noted ongoing reports about Patel’s conduct and competence in office, including allegations about heavy drinking issues, missing meetings, and the use of federal resources for personal entertainment, as well as granting special privileges to his girlfriend and country singer Alexis Wilkins. This was played for comedic effect, as Ansari’s character rejected her in an exaggerated manner.

“Let me be clear: This FBI director was never drunk or hungover at his job,” he said.He continued, “And this FBI director certainly did not stand on the couch in the VIP room at Tao Nightclub and Asian Bistro and shout, ‘Who wants the nuclear codes?!'”The appearance comes after months of online speculation that Ansari would eventually play the role, with fans on social media suggesting he would be a natural fit for the role.

A viral post on Reddit received tens of thousands of upvotes demanding his selection. The sketch also touched on political rumors surrounding Patel’s standing with US President Donald Trump, portraying him as overly confident about his position despite speculation that he would be removed from the administration.“President Trump loves me,” the character said.He added: “Everyone loves me. Even the shooter at the reporters’ dinner said: ‘Kill everyone except the master.’

Patel. If you get a shout out like this in a psycho’s statement, you must be doing something right. The line refers to the recent shooting in Washington, D.C. during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner, where a gunman reportedly attempted to breach the venue while Trump and senior officials were in attendance. Everyone was evacuated safely, although one security guard was injured. Authorities later discovered a 1,000-word statement written by the suspected shooter, 31-year-old Cole Thomas Allen.

In the document, the shooter allegedly expressed his intention to target senior figures in the Trump administration, but mentioned Kash Patel as someone he intended to keep.Reporters in the SNL sketch also questioned the character over alleged technical issues at work, including claims that he once struggled to log into a computer system. It was a reference to a situation where Cash believed he was fired and locked out of the system.“This is just more lies,” Ansari’s Patel said.He added: “I’ve always been able to log into my email, except for a brief 36-hour period when I forgot I changed my password to CashMeOutside69.”
